Udaipur : Banswara collector has come up with an innovative idea to educate people about the various welfare scheme floated by the government. Major schemes of the government meant to benefit the marginal section, individuals have been chalked out which would be publicized through audio clips made in the local ‘Vagadi’ dialect.
“Till now, all the publicity material had been in the forms of pamphlets or posters , but looking at the large number of people in the district specially in remote areas who have little access to newspapers or those who cannot read or write, the audio clips would come to help” Collector Bhagwati Prasad told Udaipur Kiran. The clips would be in Hindi and Vagadi both and it would be in a conversation form between two imaginary characters named ‘Mahi Kaki’ and ‘Kalyan Kaka’, the collector said. The names chosen are such so that the rural folk immediately strike a connection with them and would feel as someone among them is communicating. A team of experts is working these days to script and record the schemes in an attractive manner. The project incharge Kamlesh Sharma, assistant director of the public relations department , dramatist and stage artists Satish Acharya, Abdul Rajjak Bhatti, Achal Shah, Deepika Dikshit, Priyanka Pandya, Piyush Pandya, Bhanwarlal Garg etc are working to record 10 audio clips that is likely to be released by March 18.
