Chief Minister To Inaugurate ‘Clean And Smart Rajasthan Workshop’ In Udaipur
Jaipur : The Second State level workshop ‘Clean and Smart Rajasthan’ for urban local bodies under Swachh Bharat Mission will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Smt Vasundhara Raje on 22 December in Udaipur. Also present on the occasion will be Minister of Rajasthan Urban Development, Housing and Local Self Government, Shri Shrichand Kriplani; Rajasthan Home Minister, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria and Minister of Technical Education, Higher Education, Sanskrit Education, Science and Technology, Smt. Kiran Maheshwari. This was informed by Principal Secretary, Local Self Government, Dr. Manjit Singh today.
Dr. Singh further said that the Second State Level Clean and Smart Rajasthan Workshop is a mega event for Municipal Bodies, where representatives from both Centre and State will discuss the initiatives and innovation undertaken by them to promote cleanliness in their respective areas.
During the inaugural session, the Chief Minister will be flagging off the Annapurna Rasoi vans recently launched under the Annapurna Rasoi Scheme. She will also be inaugurating the State Government’s ambitious LED Street Light System on the occasion.
The key note address will be delivered by Director, Swachch Bharat Mission, Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India, Shri Saurabh Jain. The theme address will be delivered by Chairman of Good Governance India Foundation, Shri V. Suresh.
The two day event will have various technical sessions on themes such as Swachch Rajasthan, Smart Rajasthan, Waste as a Resource, success stories based on community participation approach, cross learning and good practices and innovative technologies, among others.
